In k-5, the common core says to use models. In 6th grade, it specifically says tape diagrams. Why isn’t k-5 referring to models are bar models or tape diagrams. Are they the same? Different? Can you clarify for me? I am trying to make a smooth transition from elem to middle using similar vocabulary. Thanks!
NF progression mentions tape diagrams. There are several examples in the OA progression.
